Chris served as the minister of a Church in London for over 30 years. In 2025, for his retirement, having already been an Aeon owner, commissioned a special pen - with the logo of his Church engraved - and a fitting box. After some back and forth we decided on engraved silver inlays paired with english oak instead of the walnut we usually craft boxes from, because oak has a very special significance to him.

For about a week, we iterated on line widths for the logos that were to be engraved - and decided to re-draw them and thicken the lines - to make sure the engravings would come out perfectly - but without altering the design of the symbols.

Working with our boxmaker, Paolo Pietro, and our Goldsmith Valerio, Claudia, our co-founder, crafted the box over three weeks, and Salvatore and Bernhard crafted the pen.
